Marina Go is an author and leadership speaker who has amassed an incredible business perspective guided by years of industry knowledge. She has over three decades of leadership experience in the media industry, beginning as a journalist and moving into executive roles, including as CEO of Private Media and Country CEO of Hearst Australia. She is also a former Chair of the Wests Tigers NRL Club, Super Netball Commission, Netball Australia, The Walkley Foundation and Ovarian Cancer Australia and was the inaugural Chair of the UTS Centre for Media Transition Advisory Board. She is also on UNSW’s Business Advisory Council, the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations Advisory Board and ANU’s Centre for Asian-Australian Leadership (CAAL) Advisory Board.

Marina has been fascinated by the inner workings of certain patriarchal organisations, exploring the ways in which women can and have been able to break past limiting preconceived notions to lead a successful life.

The importance of cultural and gender diversity in business has been something that Marina has championed her entire life. With first-hand experience in leading the way for women to thrive in what has otherwise been seen as an exclusive man’s world, she is particularly passionate about showing people how to set goals and run at them head-on to achieve their dreams.

Marina is currently a member of O’Connell Street Associates, CEW, and the AICD. As a proud mother of two sons, she is always looking for better ways and processes that allow for equitable outcomes for women in a diverse Australia.

Awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in 2023 for services to business governance, sports administration, and the media, Marina has enjoyed success in many industries. She is also the author of the successful ‘Break Through: 20 Success Strategies for Female Leaders,’ paving the way for future leaders in all aspects of business.
